Privacy Policy

Random MTR is an independent Hong Kong neighborhood-discovery app. This Privacy Policy explains what the app does with information when you use it.

Summary

Random MTR does not require an account and does not collect personal information for the developer. The app does not use advertising SDKs, analytics, tracking, or a developer-operated server.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your saved stations, saved nearby places, station visit history, and station-line filter preferences locally on your device using Apple's local storage frameworks. This information is used only to provide the app's Saved and filtering features. It is not sent to Random MTR or accessible to the developer.

Deleting the app removes its local app data according to the operating system's normal behavior. The app does not currently provide a separate account or server-side deletion request because it does not maintain user accounts or server-side personal data.

Location and map services

Random MTR does not request or use your device's location permission. Nearby searches are made around the selected MTR station's bundled coordinates, not around your current location.

The app uses Apple's MapKit and related Apple map services to display maps and retrieve nearby place information. Apple may process technical request information and map-search data under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. When you choose Directions or Open in Maps, the request is handed to Apple Maps. When you choose a venue website or phone link, the request is handed to the corresponding system app or venue service. Those services have their own privacy policies and terms.

Data sharing and tracking

The developer does not sell, rent, or share personal information. Random MTR does not track you across apps or websites and does not use App Tracking Transparency because it does not perform tracking.

Children

Random MTR is a general travel and neighborhood-discovery app. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect. The effective date above will also be updated.
